Price Changes
8/06/2022We are writing to let you know that like so many goods recently, we also need to increase the price of our logs. We have held prices static for several years, but we are finding that the increasing cost of fuel and labour now makes this a necessity. Our new prices will come into effect from 1 July 2022.
The good news is that heating your home with logs still compares well with oil and gas. There was a very interesting article in the Telegraph on 26th April this year, about why now is the time to install a wood burning stove and beat the energy crisis. While there are many factors to take into account when installing a log burning stove, they state “once initial installation costs are met, the cost of running the stove is cheaper than it’s gas and electric counterparts. Wood burners can cut a home’s heating bill by 10pc, according to the Energy Saving Trust”.
